|Division agent Dina (from Doublecross) meets with Dr. Steve Shepherd and takes a large device from him. Despite his promise not to talk and her promise to let him go back to his family, she shoots him in the back and took his wallet, making it look like a robbery.
However, with assistance from Senator Madeline Pierce, Michael confirms that Deanna stole a prototype helium-3 generator from a black budget operation and insists on getting it back. Nikita is in, partly because of "our country needs us" and he had her at Amanda.
Meanwhile, Amanda tells Sonia that she's leaving for three days but won't say where. Until then, Sonia is in charge. But as soon as she gets into elevator, Mason, the agent Percy turned, calls his boss to inform her of Amanda's departure. This gives them a window of opportunity to retake Division. Percy is walking down the street while talking on his cell, before looking at the articles listing Shepherd's demise.
In Moscow, Zetrov's board of directors is debating who to elect as CEO. Alex tries convincing one of her father's loyalists, Illyah, that they could use their combined shares to elect him CEO. Unfortunately, Illyah informs her that Ari Tasarov is a holding a reception to calm the stockholders in light of Sergei Semak's death and intends to unveil a new product that would revolutionize Zetrov.
At Division, Mason alerts Sonia to a break-in at one of their safehouses in Patterson. He volunteers to investigate.
Amanda rendezvouses with Deanna in a junkyard, which Michael finds suspicious. Alex calls Nikita to voice her suspicions that Amanda and Ari plan on using the stolen generator to win over the Zetrov board of directors.
As soon as Deanna shows the device, Amanda starts strangling her, forcing Nikita and Michael to move in. However, Gogol has turned up. Michael holds them off while Nikita goes after Amanda. She briefly fights against her old mentor before getting a bullet to the chest, but blocked by body armor. Amanda then hesitates to finish her, as police sirens force her to withdraw.
A flashback to seven years ago, Amanda offers to help reinvent Nikita and presents a birthday cake.
In the present, Nikita and friends arrive in Moscow. Michael expresses confusion as to why Amanda refrained from finishing off Nikita. Alex then comes in and lays out a plan to steal the He-3 generator back. Nikita goes in as Olga Kucherov, who is vacationing in Costa Rica, as Birkhoff hacks the camera feeds to make her look like Olga to fool Ari.
Mason returns with a captive Percy and they put on a big act. Percy then suggests to Sonia that he be put in a holding cell and she call Amanda. She does so. Alarmed to hear that Percy is in Division, Amanda orders that he be canceled.
Ari and Amanda try denying Alex access to the board but Illyah insists she accompany him. As Ari starts presenting the He-3 generator, Birkhoff discovers a hidden camera in the room. Alex tells Illyah to address Amanda. Amanda states that she offers Division's assistance in expanding Zetrov interests, claiming that her agents are expendable.
Sonia brings in a cleaner, Terrence to dispose of Percy. Percy questions their loyalty to Amanda and reveals that she's literally sleeping with the enemy. He advises that Sonia recheck Division's assets.
Meanwhile, Nikita takes an elevator below ground and downloads the floor's schematics. She enters the vault and finds the generator.
Sonia and Mason confirm that Deanna's tracker went offline and her body was discovered by the police. But Sonia is convinced that Percy killed Deanna to frame Amanda and walks away. As Terrence moves to shoot Percy, Mason attempts to defend him, only to get killed. However, the other guards gun down Terrence, declaring their loyalty to Percy.
The Zetrov boards refuses to be moved unless the He-3 device is presented before them if Ari wants to be CEO. Ari picks up a phone to calls for it to be brought up and promises everyone it will be up shortly. He then pulls Amanda out of the room, informing her that Nikita had tripped a hazmat alarm. Michael and Birkhoff take notice too and warn her to get out. Unfortunately. Gogol is blocking her only exit, forcing Nikita to take cover in the vault.
Six years ago, Amanda is coaching Nikita on how to be the perfect femme fetale. Looking in the mirror, Amanda tells Nikita that the person in the mirror will be unstoppable.
Though Nikita threatens to Amanda then starts draining the air from the vault. Michael decides to return, instructing Birkhoff to be prepared to alert the Russian fire department.
Percy returns to the operation floor, causing guns to be drawn on him and his cohorts. He then calls on their patriotism and if they want proof of Amanda's treason, Sonia should call Birkhoff.
Amanda is pacing outside the vault, questioning Nikita's motivations. She points out that she didn't kill Daniel Monroe or Ryan Fletcher and reminds Nikita that she made her what she is. Nikita retorts that what she was taught while with Division was a lie. With tears in her eyes, Nikita declares that she will die and Amanda loses.
Birkhoff gets a call from Sonia. Though told that she is alone, everyone in Division is watching. Sonia then asks about Amanda. Birkhoff confirms that Amanda is selling out to the enemy as she shows the recording of herself voicing Division's expendability. This gets everyone convinced and they rally around Percy.
With four minutes left, Michael tells Alex to stall while he leads the hazmats. Alex then calls on Ari's incompetence and tells the board of his complicity in her family's death and the attempted murder in New York. She calls on the board's Russian pride and quotes her father.
As it seems that Nikita passes out from lack of oxygen, Amanda orders the vault opened. But Nikita was in fact faking and uses her small explosives to throw everyone back. Holding a gun to Amanda, she states that what separates them: Amanda perceives weakness, Nikita considers it strength and knocks her out. She then meets with Michael, who proceeds to knock out two hazmats.
The board ultimately becomes impatient with the delay. Birkhoff then triggers the alarm. Alex cites this as proof of Ari's incompetence. The board then fire Ari. Ari returns to his office, desiring Nikita dead. Though his subordinate states that she's not in the building, Ari insists that she couldn't have just walked out the front door.
At that moment, Nikita and Michael walk out in hazmat suits with the He-3 device.
Ari starts packing wads of cash, knowing that someone will be gunning for his head and his job, in that order. Amanda calls Division to get extraction only to hear Percy on the other end. He advises that she start looking over her shoulder.
Back at their safehouse, Alex is watching the news cast as Illyah is announced as CEO of Zetrov. She confides in Michael that though she never wanted Zetrov, she feels that she let her father down. Michael reassures her that he would be proud.
In Bucharest, Amanda and Ari are hiding in a motel. Ari is revealed to have the final black box. Amanda tells him her regret in sparing Nikita.
Nikita is sitting by the window sill. Michael joins her, reminding her that last night they won. Nikita then confesses that it was a surprise to herself and Amanda that she spared her.
- This is the final episode in which Amanda was a member of Division.
