Dark Matter is the tenth episode of Season One and the series.

Synopsis

Owen leaks secret information from Division's black boxes to the media, revealing that the U.S. Government was responsible for an assassination in Chile. As a result, Percy frames a C.I.A. agent, Ryan Fletcher for the crime. Nikita and Owen go to Chile to rescue Ryan from mercenaries and in doing so end up getting captured. Nikita reveals the secrets of Division to Ryan in an effort to save all of their lives. Back inside Division, Alex spies on Percy and Birkhoff and witnesses a side to Percy she has never seen before.

• This episode features the first appearance of a recurring character Ryan Fletcher, who will become a series regular during the show's final two seasons.
• Oversight was mentioned. Oversight will play a bigger part in the second season.
• Birkhoff compares the black boxes to a Horcrux, an object in which Voldemort hid part of his soul in Harry Potter. Horcruxes prevent Voldemort from being destroyed just like Percy can't be killed before his black boxes are destroyed.
